Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, one of the daughters of musicians born in Mexico, was born to a family that was devoted to music. When she was a kid, she listened to a lot of classical music as well as the traditional boleros. Also, she listened to traditional romantic ballads and ranchero. Ana loves tangos as well as opera and other dramatic kinds. The mother of her child taught her to sing, and she began more intensive vocal training under Flavio Belcerra at 16 when he was a renowned Mexican opera Tenor. It was at the School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico continue to provide her with music instruction. In Guadalajara as well as Mexico City, she was an active member of numerous opera choruses and chamber ensembles. In the years following her relocation into the United States in 2000, she sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before shifting to her residence in the southern part of California. She sings as a soloist Latin American music for private functions and as a member Ensemble XXI in Redlands. She is involved with many local activities, both an educator and performer because of her love for music and arts. Ana was also a part of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana finds it a privilege to give others a taste of her passion for the traditional Latin American music. She hopes that this will inspire younger generations of musicians to keep the traditions alive.
